He hasn’t attended the briefing in person. He rarely did these days. It was, after all, his job to be aware of the Intel behind said briefings, if he hadn’t gathered it himself.
“So, the Technocratic Guild isn’t completely scrap yet?”
“No. And they attack our forces constantly.”
“Well, the Dread Lord wants their destruction. Sounds like my specialty.” Blackhawk growled. “Prep the interrogation chamber. I think it’s time Tazi gets to work her magic on whoever we can grab. And have our medic on standby as well.”
With orders issued, the Left Hand of Dread prepared to get to work.
Dust floated in the air on this old mining station. Long since abandoned, the place was supposed to serve as a quiet rendezvous point while the larger operation unfolded across Cor’neria. It had been completely cleaned out of all equipment except the caf machine and a few sacks of… something that Asher had decided to use as a pillow. Waiting for a band of mercenaries to show was usually the longest part of missions like these, which made rest a premium commodity. Ever the Imperial opportunist, the ISB agent always took advantage of these chances whenever they arrived.
After what felt like 4 minutes, a small beeping noise sounded off from his pocket - a transponder for his ship’s sensors - indicating his liaisons had finally shown up…
Seeing the message from Blackhawk, the petite Togruta’s lips curled into a grim dark smile.
“It’ll be high time we finish these frackers completely off,” sending back a short message that she would rendezvous with him at the planet.
Turning to her Vornskr, Tahiri petted him.
“Hadzuska, time for a hunt.”
A short skirmish had taken place. A very short one. A humanitarian aid convoy had been ambushed. What the rogue technocrats hadn’t planned for, was one of the men in that convoy being former military. That man saved several of the personnel in that convoy. The supplies were mostly lost, but he had managed to get most of the people to a defensible position. He’d known the position wouldn’t hold forever, but it was something. He also managed to put out one, final, desperate call before their communication systems were destroyed. He’d never expected help to actually arrive, nor would he ever forget what happened that day.
The distress call sounded desperate. Whether or not they were able to help the convoy didn’t much matter to Blackhawk. The ambushing force, however, meant targets. It meant prisoners. It meant people to interrogate. Tazi knew this, and flew accordingly. No airstrike this time. Not in the traditional sense. The Clawdite leapt from the bomber over the ambush site, Agroz following close behind. They slammed into the ground hard enough that the ambushing Technocrats momentarily ceased firing. The four red blades igniting shocked them back into the fight, not that it mattered much. The two new arrivals didn’t even bother blocking. Their armor simply ate whatever landed. By the end, the Clawdite and Gen'dai had taken six prisoners in various states of alive ranging from “physically unharmed” to “in multiple pieces”. Blackhawk waited while his bomber landed, leaving a signal to his location actively Agroz attended to the various wounded. Meanwhile, for the first time in a while, Dame Taziadu'ku Daughya put her interrogation skills to use.
Asher peered over a railing to view Bones and his crew arrive. He saw the pirate’s ship, the Jawbone, where he expected it to be, but the crew that exited weren’t the same men they agreed upon.
“Typical Bones…” Asher scoffed “always changing the plans…”
Angrily, the ISB agent marched downstairs to meet them.
The crew took notice of Asher, tapping each other and pointing subtly, as he marched through the lot of them in search for the Jawbone’s pilot. Only… the pilot wasn’t here…
Interested glances turned greedy as if he were a piece of meat thrown in front of a hungry drydak.
Without glancing around, he readied his hand for a firefight and asked a solemn question: “Where is Bones?”
His words were met with a brief yell that was drowned out by a series of blaster fires. Red bolts shot across the landing platform, raining sparks all around Asher. His shots were hitting, however. Bodies dropped left and right until the last one remained.
Asher circled around and met the last man standing with a blaster to the head. “Where. Is. Bones?”
The man swallowed hard, but held his ground. Asher was out of patience and pressed the hot barrel against the merc’s forehead.
“AGHH! OKAY, OKAY, OKAY! I kNOW WHERE HE WENT!” He welped.
Asher’s stare held an expression that the man could tell meant he was counting down in his head.
“Bones took another job on Nei’Kapo that he said was worth more than the whole ship. He wanted us to bring the loot here to you for thuh cash, but some of the guys was figurin’ - since you was all alone an’ stuff…”
“That stealing from the Empire was your best move?” Asher asked bewildered at the stupidity.
The mercenary said nothing
Landing nearby, Tahiri and Hadzuska disembarked.
“Well Hawk, seems like you already started the fun without me.”
Looking towards the facility, she noddedand Zuska took off in that direction.
“I’ll be exploring over there. You’ll let me know if you find anything interesting, ok?” She smiled before jogging after her pet.

Blackhawk chuckled. “We’ll see what these prisoners have to say.”
Tazi strode to the first of the prisoners. This one was, for the moment at least, still in one piece. “Let me make this simple for you. Tell us everything you know. Where your base is, who you’re working for, where else they are, everything. Or I’ll pry it from your feeble little mind.”
She chuckled just before getting out of earshot. It took only a few minutes to get to the facility, and to get in. Once in though, her senses immediately screamed as she was attacked by a few Technocrat Soldiers. Their enhancements stood no chance however, against Zuska’s teeth and poison tail, and her own sabers and vibroblades.
Cutting them down to size and disarming them was the easy part, getting any sort information out of them was a whole different situation.
Using her own techniques, she was only able to get that there was more throughout and under the facilities facade.
She pressed a button on her commlink, while Zuska dealt with the one soldier she had gotten info out of.
“Hawk, there’s more of these frackers here. I’m going in deeper.”
With that message out of the way, she also pressed a location tracker on that only Brotherhood people could track and headed deeper in.
