At The Shame Corner, a battered piece of flimsplast tacked onto the bounty board reads:
Do you like adventure? Do you like credits? Do you want to see all that the galaxy has to offer? If so, you may be interested in joining with the Starship Tiss'shar.
Below the text are commlink details attached. Nearby, a rugged and battered-looking Selonian sits on a chair, watching expectantly.
Jelc and Salni walked up to the bounty board and look over the jobs. Jelc grinned. “Well this sounds promising.” He laughed to Salni.
“Wanna join me on a starship for some adventuring.” She rolled her amber reptillian looking eyes as she looked at the paper. “Well I guess so. I’m a bit bored anyway. So sure let’s sign up.”
They both took the commlink details down and hit contact.
“I mean worst can happen we die right?” Salni replied smirking.
“Well robbed and then killed.” Jelc added. “But yeah pretty much.”
Razraf, sitting on a nearby bench, smiled as he saw the pair approach his advertisement. He heard his commlink chime, and smiled a little wider. He raised the device to his mouth and spoke, “Starship Tiss'shar support , this is Razraf speaking.”
“So I hear you are looking for a crew? Don’t suppose you would mind a couple space adventurers would ya? I also happen to have some piloting skills and a speeder too.” Jelc replied to his birdlike companion. It was the first time Salni had stepped out of her disguise and into the open. She was cyan colored with rainbow feathered hair running down behind her. Two red wispy antennae on the front of her head, four taloned fingers on both hands, two large cyan colored wings and two digitigrade splayed toed fee t. Her hands were tucked a bit as she looked at Jelc with her crimson colered eyes and shook her feathered head.
“Adventurers, you say,” Razraf watched from afar, “now, what sort of ‘ventures would your sort be engaging in? I mean, I am a half-decent pilot and a crack shot at times to boot, but I just want to be sure that….our goals mesh.” He grunted. “I don’t want to be dealing with the sorts that think flesh tradin’ is acceptable.”
Jelc scoffed at the thought before answering. “Certainly not, I much prefer those kinds of folks six feet underground. What I am looking for is a reason to get out and do something interesting, maybe fun or a bit dangerous. Nothing along the lines of slave trade, but finding treasure or hunting bad guys, those appeal to me and Salni here.”
Razraf drew closer, speaking low. “Seems maybe we can do business, then. See the Starship is a bit of a hungry girl. Takes some credits to keep her fueled and happy. Any sort of business that is not too sordid is not beyond me. Could be adventure, could be excitement, could just be living. One thing I can promise it won’t be is boring.” He smiled. “Who knows, maybe we will even be lucky enough to put some bad people six feet under even.”
“Credit’s for fuel, repairs to keep the lady ship happy, I can certainly provide that and Salni if it is needed now.” He smiled as Salni raised an eyebrow at Jelc. “Out of most of your pocket.” She added. “Now putting bad people six feet under, I like that.”
Razraf smiled. “So, I assume that you will want your own piece of the action though? How much of a cut did you both want?”
“Hmm, how about 40%” Jelc looked to Salni who nodded. “Yeah, 40% cut.”
