The even sun begins to set on the tropical planet of Iloh. Our wonderful group of Clan Kendis and Friends have met up on one of the archipelago islands. Koda Kendis, wearing sunglasses and red swim trunks works on getting a net set up in the sand. On the sidelines his wonderful wife, Danitha, and his kiddos, Cassie and Callum, are building sandcastles next to the rolling tide.
“Now I don’t want to sound cocky…yes I do. But my sister and I were the reigning champs of the clan, so I have to protect that title.” He finished setting up the net and picked up a inflated ball, “So the real question is, who wants to be my partner and who wants to get pummeled into the sand?” He asked around, and open invitation.
Having landed on the tropical planet, Jelc parks and hops out of the cockpit and into the small corridor to retrieve his tropical beach patterned retro trunks with a purple and pink horizon on them. Currently wearing his blue shorts and sandals, he opened the door of his ship to view the beach and the walkway. He hears a bark from Xiffan and turns just to see his Cythraul dart out towards the beach-with his swim trunks in its mouth.Quickly locking the ship, Jelc dashes off to catch the trunk thief.
“DAMMIT!”
As Xiffan hits the beach area he recognizes Koda and runs up towards him.
Nearby, playing his Stompies with Alk in the shallows along with the children, Rue laughed bright and bell peal. He saw Xiffan running by and gasped, happily waving to Jelc.
“Jelc! Yes hello welcome! Look! There is the net game of which you spoke on Selen! Koda has challenges!”
The hybrid was shiny and colorful as usual, though this time sporting an actual swimsuit, a single piece with straps and frills in mild places that bore the cartoonish likeness of a semi-aquatic megarodent. Its cute nose and eyes covered his chest sufficiently for his comfort, but left all his limbs bare. He had been sure to apply the screen sun lotion, as Cryo had reminded.
Koda narrowed his eyes upon seeing the wolf approach, carrying the trunks with it.
“Oh no you don’t…” He crouched down as it approached and leapt forward to tackle it into the sand, more playfully than anything else. “Drop it…drop it.” He struggled to gently tug at the trunks without ripping them.
Xiffan shook his head growling playfully until finally he let go of the trunks. He stuck his paws out, wagging his tail and barked playfully as Jelc made his way towards Koda. “Oh thank goodness, I thought, I would be stuck without my trunks forever. He can be a wild one sometimes.”
“Xiffian, do you want to play?” Rue came out of the surf in order to hug Jelc and offer the cythraul his hand, Alk and the girls trailing behind him, Lektra immediately latching on to his tail. While she’d met Jelc once or twice already, she was still shy except for the hybrid and her sister.
Alk himself was off to his diplomott duties, bounding up to Xiffian and snuffling him.
The seascapes of Iloh were beautiful. Though Selen was also a tropical, predominantly oceanic islandic world, Iloh had its own qualities. The seas were different shades of gemlike, crystalline clear waters, tasted of different salts, the plants and animals vastly different too. Rue was most interested in studying said plants…and how seemingly singular the fauna…but most of all just in enjoying the time with his family and friends.
He could sense a familiar presence coming down the very beach they happened to be on, from the direction of the resort, which was a ‘fancypants’ hotel according to Koda. Rue still did not see where the trousers on the buildings were, but he hoped they were comfortable for it. In the meanwhile, there was so much to do and see.
Koda stood up and brushed the sand off himself.
“At least they were the ones you were wearing.” He chuckled “Trying to get a few to play ball, but I’m thinking it might just be relaxing on the beach by the looks of it all.”
“Ball? Well if you want I do not mind playing a few rounds of ball with ya.” He grabbed the colorful trunks from Koda. “Just let me change into these right quick and I most certainly can play with you. I also have a couple surfboards and boogie boards with me if you would like to surf and let the kiddos play in the water as well.” He grinned. “So let me go change and whatever you would like Koda to do. I am totally game.”
He turned and went to one of the change stalls, took off his shirt, and changed out of his regular shorts and into his swim trunks. He then stuffed them into the small brown pack he had on him and jogged back to his ship, pulled out his black and red soft top surfboard, his blue outlined and white funboard, and his personal neon purple and black hybrid board. He placed them into the passenger side speeder along with a few boogie boards. He then hopped in and drove the speeder over to the beach, parked it, and walked back to the beach smiling. “You mind helping me get these out on the beach, Koda?”
Meanwhile, Xiffan saw the little mott snuffling at him. He bapped the mott’s nose with his paw, giving a playful. “BORF!” Before running circles around him, encouraging a chase. <@395091612952297484> <@244244163002892288>
Salty air brushed her long obsidian locks from her face, aviators staying planted. Waves lapped upon their feet before it pulled away, sand drifting along with it. It was nice to be home again. But something about this time made it feel different. Magical even.
The water felt warmer, the sea and sky seemed bluer. The cliff sides higher. A beauty she had witnessed over and over but somehow felt even more.
She thought these sorts of things were supposed to dull with age, but it had become more vibrant more real.
All of that was being shared with Savi.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” She asked as she glanced at the shani. Each unique feature of them always captivated Emere. More than the sky. More than the ocean.

“I’ll help out with the boards…I don’t do well in open water though.” Koda helped carry the board to the beach. “Swimming as never been a strong suit of mine.”
The girls giggled and started running around with Alk and Xiffian, a relative lack of fear with animals thanks to both the mott and Rue’s ability to turn into them as a game. Rue examines the boards that Koda and Jelc brought, trying to understand the connection between whatever boogie was and the water. They were quite colorful, like him, which was nice.
“What is…boo-gEE?”

Iloh’s sun blanketed the landscape with its warmth, heating up its sands just enough to provide a comforting warmth beneath the blanket Savi was laying upon. A passing breeze carried the smell of brine to their nostrils, eliciting a long inhale. This was nice. Who knew that after a lifetime of hardship – of war and survival – that settling down and relaxing would be this easy?
There was a time in their history where Savi would have thought that they didn’t deserve this. They had spent so much time blaming themselves for the death of their Jedi master that they forgot what it was like to simply just be happy, to enjoy things for their own sake rather than as a temporary reprieve from the centuries of karked up memories and ghosts that lingered with them.
But things with Emere were simple. That’s what they needed, now, especially when their work in Korda was often such a headache. Turned out that killing people was much easier than running a criminal enterprise.
“It is,” they said, dipping their head just enough to see above their matching aviators. “It reminds me of the beaches on Tamoat.”
A random beach dweller passed in front of them, and Savi lifted a tattooed hand to catch his attention.
“Yeah?” he asked, a jimt of surprise or maybe nerves present in his voice.
“We’re thirsty,” Savi said, using a finger to lower their shades just enough to make eye contact with the Ilohian man. “Go to the bar and get the two of us drinks.”
The man’s eyes became glassy, and his jaw slackened just a hair before he nodded quickly. “Y-Yes, of course. Anything else I can get you?”
“That;ll be all.”
Another quick nod was given before the man hurried off.
Savi caught Emere staring at her, prompting her to chuckle when she saw the look on her face.

“Water, for me,” Emere added.
As the man sauntered off, the faintest smile pulled on the corner of her lips. It was amusing to see Savi’s powers in use. The use of the Force in such a capacity used to make Emere wary. Since the pair had built more trust it had become more of a tool to Emere than something to be feared. Especially since her daughter was a wielder.
“I noticed that you’re never one to start with asking,” she commented dryly. Neither was she. Getting to the point was far more important. “It’s impressive.”
The dazed man arrived with their drinks. Emere accepting it with a silent nod.
After the man left, dark eyes beneath her aviators traced Savi’s form. Then back to their face.
No questions asked, Emere threaded her fingers into Savi’s feathers and yanked their head back to place a kiss on their lips.
