Match 1

Kalen noticed it was his pal Blackhawk who was his opponent. This made him thankful it was only simulated combat on a training range. Kalen knew his ship was faster and more maneuverable, so he flew right towards Blackhawk, intent on flying right past him and performing a button hook to try and get behind him.

He lined up a salvo from his 5 laser cannons and fired, damaging the forward shields of his enemy.

Blackhawk saw the incoming salvo. He rotated his vessel, hoping to avoid it, but narrowly failed. His opponent however, made the mistake of charging head on into Blackhawk’s own attack. The salvo caught the Jedi square in the front of his ship as Blackhawk pulled up to avoid collision

Kalen ate the hit to his forward shields and pulled a hard right turn veering upwards as he came out of the manuever, after coming about he targeted the freighter with another salvo from his laser cannons, scoring another hit, this time damage the freighters rear shields.

Blackhawk continued his upward arcing path as the shots impacted his rear. As the Jedi’s Starfighter came into view once again, the Clawdite opened fire. Kalen, despite his efforts, was unable to escape Blackhawk’s salvo. His shields fizzled and gave up under the withering volley as Blackhawk rolled his ship back upright behind him.

Kalen new he had to get his shield back online on this fight would be over quickly. He pinned his throttle and performed a split s to try and buy himself some time, but it was all for not, the shield generator would not reinitialize.

Blackhawk lined up another shot. He knew the Jedi was scrambling. Blackhawk’s salvo flew through the distance between them… only to connect with nothing.

Kalen then told Karracca to go and do some percussive maintenance if neccesary to get the shields back up while Kalen kept the ship bobbing and weaving. Whatever the banging sound was that Kalen heard worked, because the shields did reengage this time

Blackhawk went in for the kill. What he failed to account for was how fast he was closing. He swerved to avoid colliding with the Jedi, leaving him open for a other blow.

The Corra III was a study ships fir a shuttle, but the speed and manueverability was where she set herself apart from many others, Kalen was able to dodge another barrage from the freighter and drifted the ship bring his main cannons to bear on Blackhawk, unfortunately every laser bolt missed when he fired.

As the bolts flew by, Blackhawk hit his breaks, causing the Corra to overshoot him. Blackhawk’s shot flew under the Jedi, flying harmlessly into space

As Kalen overshot his target he snapped control stick to the left and pulled back, maxing the inertial dampeners while he fired a salvo from his quad laser turret, and scared a direct hit and appeared to knocked the freighters shields out. ‘The tables have turned’ Kalen thought to himself.

Blackhawk saw his shields go out, and quickly moved to repair them. Unfortunately, they didn’t come back as quick as he had hoped.

The Corra was able to out manuever and out pace the the freighter, but he had to be weary of the opponents armament aswell, so he kept in a tight turn while firing his cannons , this time scoring a hit on the hull.

The freighter shook. Alarms began to blare. Blackhawk scrambled to fix the shields before the Jedi destroyed him

Kalen latched onto the rear of Blackhakws frieghter and matches his speed. He wasn’t letting him get away now. He fired another blast from all of his forward firing cannons. They hit damaging the hull yet again.

You want to play hard ball, fine! Blackhawk turned the ship and let loose another volley of bolts. Joss, not expecting the turn, just barely managed to evade

Kalen was lucky to dodge the salvo, and decided to charge his ion cannon and try to knock the freighters power out. He increased his speed to close to near point blank range before firing and landing a hit.

With the power gone, Blackhawk gave up on the dogfight. It wasn’t his style anyway.

The Jedi has closed to point blank range, not expecting a cornered Sith to be able to actually threaten him. Blackhawk teleported, leaving himself in the vacuum of space, only his armor to protect him. Kalen failed to notice, closing in to finish off a freighter he thought was still occupied. A quick burst from his jetpack brought Blackhawk right where he needed to be. Suddenly, Blackhawk occupied the seat behind the Jedi.

“You may have won the dogfight,” Blackhawk growled in his ear, igniting a lightsaber across his throat for emphasis, “but you should always expect your enemy to have a trick up their sleeve.”

Karracca roared with laughter, knowing this was just training. Apparently Kalen hadn’t remembered the teleporty thing that Blackhawk could do.

“I yield good sir….but i think leaving your ship during a dogfight should still count as a kill…this is a new training program, so i have no idea what’s the rules are. So…uh, yeah, why dont you shut down the saber and we both take a W on this one?

End of fight 1

begin training battle 2 * Kalen v Blackhawk* * 3… 2… 1… Fight!*

training space Taziadu'ku brought the ship out of hyperspace near the edge of the training system. Her opponent was out there somewhere, but the Jedi didn’t need to know that. A scam of the system revealed the JV Corra flying around in the system, presumably searching for the Tarentum.

She approaches stealthily, as she preferred to in most situations. Kalen did not appear to notice as she lined up a shot behind him. Blackhawk, who was sitting in the copilot chair for this fight, smiled as he fired. The Jedi tried to jerk to the side, too late to dodge. The impact was devastating to his shields. “Hello, Kalen,” Blackhawk quipped. “And enjoy today’s fireworks.” With that, Blackhawk let loose a missile, which struck head on into Kalen’s broadside, evaporating his shields.

Kalen was shocked by ambusb strike. How did the ship get on his tail without him seeing. He locked oknto the ship with his quad and ion cannons and let loss as a salvo that missed entirely as he juked and jivved trying to evade the freighter on his tail.

Taziadu'ku evaded the panicked shot easily. She turned the ship to fire again. “ You think you can escape?” she growled before firing. The cannons tore into the hull of the Jedi’s ship. The missile, however, failed to find its target, passing where Kalen had been a moment ago before he managed to desperately fire his thrusters.

Kalen knew he needed to use his ships speed and manueverability to his advantage against the slower unshielded frieghter, so he spun the ship on its vertical access and let loose a full laser cannon salvo which hit and damaged the front hull sections of his enemy. He yelled at Karra to get ready to repair the shields.

“How dare you!” Blackhawk roared over the comm. Taziadu'ku brought the freighter around for another salvo. This time, everything hammered into the Jedi craft. “I would advise you to surrender. We can grab a drink and you can meet my new pilot.” Blackhawk offered

“Lemme try one more thing, then I’ll yeild” Kalen said into the comm. He then tried to punch it full throttle away from the slower freighter, but the ion blast had him totally immobilized. He told Karra to try and reboot the shields, a few seconds later the shields did reinitialize, but were still very weak.

“As you wish.” Blackhawk replied. What the Jedi thought he was going to do with no power was beyond him, but it no longer mattered. “He asked for it. Give him the finishing blow, Ms. Daughya.” “Of course. And I’ve told you, you don’t need to call me that!” the Togruta replied as she lined up the shot. A missile streaked from its tube, smashing into the crippled vessel “Had enough?” Blackhawk asked.

“Frak!” Joss shouted as his shields puttered out again. “I surrender!” He declared.

“Shall we go aboard?” Blackhawk inquired, smugly. “I get to meet my prey? Ha! Let’s go!” declared the Togruta pilot, eagerly. She brought the freighter directly nose to nose with the Jedi’s ship. Aboard the Corra Kalen found himself wondering what the hell Blackhawk was doing bringing his ship so close. He’d surrendered. Surely, Blackhawk wouldn’t finish the job anyway… would he? Even knowing he could teleport, Blackhawks sudden appearance behind him was still somewhat unsettling. “That was fun!” Blackhawk said. “Now, allow me to introduce my new pilot.”

Kalen already had his lightsaber in hand considering the last match, but when he saw Hawk and his pilot there in an unthreatening fashion, he decided to not ignite the blade.

“Oh nice to meet you, nice trick getting on our tail like that at the start.” Kalen said as Karracca came out of the lift from the lower level with a growled “We lost didnt we?”

Blackhawk wins. Brutality

Begin Battle 3 Kalen vs Corvin 3…2…1… Fight!

Around Corvin, the controls of the TIE Avenger hummed like a beast raring to go, red and white lights flickering from the control panels. His gloved hands were on the controls and the weapon triggers. While this was a practice fight and as a rule no ships were to be blown up, he’d like to treat it as a real skirmish in space. Of course, he still won’t be blowing anything up! Corvin was garbed in a standard Iron Legion TIE Fighter Suit, more of a utilitarian bodysuit than anything else, but it always does it job.

Ahead of him at a distance was his opponent’s ship, a Star Courier: an almost civilian shuttle, yet this one had teeth! Weapons bristled, and both pilots waited with baited breath.

At a given signal they both charged. Corvin fired first with his 8 laser cannons producing a barrage that was sudden and hard to get away from. Kalen’s ship’s shields showed sparks. Not satisfied, Corvin fired torpedoes, but he missed this second time.

Kalen was not ready for the hail of laser cannon fire he recieved on the opening signal, undeterred he told Karra through the comm to get ready to kick on the auxiliaries. After pushing the ship to full throttle and narrowly avoiding a torpedo in the process Kalen lined up a cannon barrage of his own that missed its mark, cursing his luck he pulled his nose around as the nimble TIE veered away. Kalen then launched a disultory missile barrage that failed to arm in time and missed its target as well.

Corvin pursued Kalen and thumbed the trigger. 8 laser cannons roaring away is a grand sight to see, and this time they ate away at the shields once more. He let loose a missile after him, but the shuttle outmaneuvered that.

The TIE groaned under the barrage of fire pouring down from above. Corvin could see that he needed to do something fast before we was finished off. Quickly he set about repairing the ship, managing to bring back the ship’s shields to a basic level. He then fired a barrage of laser cannon fire on Kalen’s shuttle, producing sparks after a hit.

By this point Karracca had jumped into the quad cannon turret while Kalen targeted the fighter with his swivel mounted ion cannon. He flew the ship straight and steady lower his speed a bit to draw in the TIE. When it was sufficiently close, Kalen and the nodded out Star Courier unloaded another full round of weapons fire. Their accuracy was on this time and 3 direct hits were scored and the Avenger shields were knocked down yet again and the left radiator fin took a direct hit.

Thumbing down the trigger, he let loose yet another hangry hair of laser cannon fire at the shuttle. Kalen tried to dodge, but the lasers hit inevitably. After firing, he immediately attempted to do repairs, but by this time the ship was moving too fast to do repairs successfully.

Kalen juked after taking the cannon salvo and sustained seriously damage to the rear hull. When he opened fire this time the Avenger deftly slurved through the cannon bolts that Karracca was now firing off in a steady stream unscathed.

Corvin outmaneuvered his fire, and returned with a barrage of his own, scarring his ship’s armor deep. He then fired torpedoes, but these were useless and went past harmlessly. Kalen’s ship was faster than those projectiles.

Kalen hit the kill switch on the simulator instead of wating for another strafing pass from the TIE. He knew he was beat.

Karracca roared in disappointment from the lower ball turret. Kalen keyed his comm “I yeild Corvin, well done sir.”

Corvin Wins

Corvin thumbed the comms in reply “Well played to you as well sir. It was a close match.”
