Revs stepped off the turbo lift and entered the Voidbreakers main lounge area. Multiple tables were scattered across the room, each with a small holoprojector set in the middle. Several larger projectors had been set up around the room to send live footage of the race, while the ships’ view ports had been opened to allow the racers to be seen as they flew by. A BD-3000 Luxury droid shuffled around the area cleaning and straightening table cloths in anticipation for the spectators.
He could sense his sister Starlynn running around with her small BD unit Jeff, setting up lighting and sound systems for the announcers.
The Miraluka’s boots clicked on the floor as he headed over to the bar where the Ewok Logan was busy prepping the grills and food. “Hey that foods for the guest.” Revs teased as he reached across the bar and grabbed a beer. Logan made a rude gesture with one hand as he took a bite out of a link of sausage. “Love you buddy.” Revs laughed as he opened the beer and turned to head towards his personal table in the back. Sitting down in a large cushioned chair he pulled out a datapad that shifted in brail. He ran his fingers over the bumps, checking the numbers of what bets had already been placed.
He leaned back and kicked his feet up. Nothing left to do but wait for the show to start and hope the boss didn’t get mad about him “forgetting” to ask permission to set this up.
The Nightfall Prism III floated in the darkness of space. It’s black hull blended well, making her almost invisible, if it wasn’t for her running lights, it’s doubtful anyone would spot her, till it’s too late that is. Her weapons turrets sat motionless for now, but remained deadly nonetheless. On the bridge KC argued with Zed over what should be done for the race while Edema sat at the weapons station and adjusted things. The bridge door opened with a wush of air and through it walked a gorgeous being, life and beauty coursing from her, her luscious red hair flowed down over her armour and her ears wiggled when she saw Edema. Jor walked up behind Edema, who was engrossed in her console and wrapped her arms around her and kissed her on the cheek “morning beautiful, whatcha doing?” Edema turned her head and returned the kiss “good morning to you too, I’m just making sure our targeting systems are 110% for this race. How’s the ship?” Jor stood up “ships perfect darling, she’s almost as beautiful as you and Sho hehe, she will do fine”
Edema got up and hugged Jor then moved towards the door.
The Prism II had been fantastic, but too slow, it was Sho'la who suggested they sell her and buy this ship, a former prison barge turned frigate, while technically it was smaller, the actual usable space inside was significantly more, and her weapons offered much more flexibility, and she was faster too, a lot faster and manoeuvred like a ghost. The Sephi bounded off, a smile on her face and went to look for Sho, who was probably burried in some work… And in her case litteraly.
