Cor'neria System Space near Nei'kapo
The black void of space distorted. The brief glimmer of blue star streaked light heralded the arrival of additional Brotherhood forces. While the main force occupied the Chancellor’s naval forces, a series of small strike teams had been deployed on a critical mission. To ascertain the location of the Collective Lord Superior, Rath Oligard.
One of these teams, codenamed Ricmore’s Raiders, arrived in the Cor'neria system in pursuit of their own assignment. They had been ordered to board the orbital platform known as Isabella Shipyard. Boasting automated facilities and a wide range of defenses, it would not be an easy target. But the Clan Vizsla strike team was up to the task. The unit had begun to regroup after their separate arrival in system.

Yellow eyes tracked the translation to real space. A slight narrowing of the ocular organs was the only outward sign of irritation, the corvette had not arrived in the location it had been set to jump to.
“Report.” Hector Von Ricmore requested of his bridge crew.
“Sir. Enemy has deployed gravity based technology, it interfered with the hyperspace jumps of the task force. Sensors show all the Raiders are in system but scattered and off target.”
That was far from ideal. The primary Vizsla and Iron Fleet forces were keeping the defenses of their target busy, but each moment they delayed increased the risks of the defenders preparing.
“Send a transmission to the rest of the Raiders. They are to rendezvous here with the Valiant Viper. The task force will then proceed towards the enemy space station.”
“Right away sir.”
Now he had to wait for the force to regroup. If they were to have any hope of accomplishing their mission, it would be with their combined might of the Vizsla agents.
Kiera felt the familiar lurch in her stomach as she pulled the Edeese Be'jai'galaar out of hyperspace. It always felt like leaving a small piece of herself behind in that extradimensional area.
But then she frowned. This wasn’t where she had been told to return to realspace. Had she done the calculations wrong? Luckily, before she had a chance to doubt too much in her abilities, the ship’s comm beeped with a transmission from the Valiant Viper, informing her of the problem and where to go.
She pitched the ship and started heading for the coordinates as Jhefi relayed the info to his brother in the turret. She would make sure this hiccup in the plan wouldn’t deter her from completing her part.

“Sir. Incoming signatures on scanners. Profiles are an exact match for a trio of Vulture Droids.”
Automated defenses. Even with the Brotherhood fleets occupying the enemy, the station wouldn’t be defenseless.
“It appears we’ll have to wait to regroup. Prepare our fighters for launch. And signal our allies to engage the incoming patrol.”
“Right away sir.”
The hyperspace tunnel collapsed abruptly as Taurus’ Fang Fighter dropped out of its jump short of the original target, somewhere in realspace.
His comms lit up as an incoming transmission from the Valiant Viper came through, seemingly sent only moments ago. Annoyed, Taurus reviewed the update. The message warned him and the other scattered allies that a patrol of Vulture Droids was already moving toward the meeting point.
Without hesitation, he pushed his sublight engines to full power and angled his Fang Fighter toward the patrol’s projected course, ready to engage.
The distance closed quickly. Three contacts lit up his HUD. Vulture Droids, automated, and most likely controlled by the station or a nearby outpost.
Taurus rolled his ship into an attack vector, descending on the trio like a hawk. His red laser fire split the darkness of space, forcing the Vultures to react and spread out.
“I just need one to bite for now.” And one of them did bite.
Green laser fire blazed past his cockpit as one of the Vultures immediately broke off and engaged him. His sublight engines gave an angry roar through the frame of the fighter as he pulled up and around the incoming beams, preparing for a drift maneuver to take out his attacker.
“Valiant Viper, I’ve engaged the patrol. We’re in for a feast!”
