Session export: Voidbreaker Host Club

One week prior

Zig wrung her hands and shifted weight from foot to foot nervously. She had been getting more and more confident, but there were some who still made her nervous. Lucine Vasano was one of them. She was powerful, smart, and always poised. She also acknowledged Zig when others had not, so her respect for the woman went way beyond her beauty and wit.

“So…that’s the idea. It’s silly, I know, but I think Tabriss would really be helpful! Wyn agreed as well…”

“Hmm.” Lucine took a long, slow sip of her tea as she considered Zig’s words. Her eyes drifted to the tall Chiss in the tail coat, who was the topic of conversation. Tabriss poured a measure of amber liquid into a second delicate porcelain cup and presented it to Zig with with a slight bow.

“Quite the contrary, darling. I think it is a marvelous idea. With so many new and returning Arconans, it seems like a bit of socializing might be beneficial. And, well, Tabriss’s skills are quite impressive.”

The tall Chiss bowed his head slightly as he presented a plate laden with cakes and sandwiches to Zig.

Zig hesitated, but then smiled and took one and popped it into her mouth.

“Oh wow these are good!”

She finished chewing. “As long as you’re sure. And of course…any side profits would be yours…”

Lucine waved a hand in an airy gesture. “Nonsense, darling, I enjoy doing favors for the Clan and my House. I do not require financial reward, though I do hope you will think favorably of me in the future. Of course Tabriss will be at your disposal for this Host Club event. Won’t you, Tabriss?”

“If I couldn’t manage my lady’s household AND a successful host club, what sort of butler would I be?” Tabriss replied readily, though he glared at Lucine over Zig’s head.

The redhead’s smile widened slightly. “And of course, I will also be willing to assist you in anyway I can.”

Voidbreaker II Port Ol'val: Docks* 44 ABY

The Docks had finally been repaired following the attack from the Zillo beast. The Voidbreaker II was back in its usual spot, all upgrades and maintenance post-war complete. The loading ramp was lowered and lined with welcoming strings of LED lights that guided any guests into the hangar and towards the Conservatory.

The Conservatory’s greenery proved the perfect backdrop for an upscale tea party. Small tables were set out, each with a set of chairs. A small mobile cart off to the side had hot water and brewing apparatuses’. They were spaced far enough apart where whichever “host” was waiting on the “clients” would feel like they had their own space without it being too private and making it seem weird.

Zig wore a tailored mens suit, black and white in a formal fit. It hugged her hips, but managed to keep the rest of her curves more neutral. She did not wear here usual braid, but instead tied her hair straight back into a tight bun pinned to the back of her head.

She paced back and forth, clearly nervous.

“So, I’m the ‘Brat’, is that right?” Wyndell Tyris asked. He wore a tailor suit as well, and for once wore no kind of disguise. It was just his usual dark hair, green eyes, and a black and white suit. He did, of course, swap in a green tie and pocket square.

“Yes, shouldn’t be too hard, right?” Zig replied.

“Darling, I can play anything,” Wyn drawled, his expression almost hurt.

Tabriss observed quietly, idly making sure things were in place. He had told Miss Zig that he would play the role of the quiet, “intelligent one” .

They were just missing the “twins”. And while Zig had already started a fan fiction draft about the only twins she did know, she did not feel comfortable making them perform for her little event.

That did not, of course, let Anselm off the hook.

“Don’t give me that look,” Zig waved a finger at him. “You almost melted me in my armor mister ‘Prince of Embers’. The least you can do is make some ladies swoon. Just make sure to show some chest, Prince” she grinned a bit.

Anselm gave Zig a hard grumpy side eye glare, folding his muscled arms over his chest.

“You cant hold that against me, Zig. I cant be held responsible for stoned Anselm. That guys an idiot.”

“Choke on my vengance,” Zig countered with a grin.

Tabriss had changed out of his tail coat, and into a sharp, three piece suit, the jacket nearly as black as his hair and a sapphire blue silk shirt underneath. The top two buttons had been scandalously left undone. He had borrowed a set of wire-rimmed glasses for his role as ‘the intelligent one’.

He pushed the glasses up the bridge of his nose, the lenses momentarily catching the light and obscuring his eyes.

“So we have a Brat and an Idiot. What role will you be playing, Miss Zig?”

Anselm promptly flipped the Chiss off. A small flame danced around and on top of the protruding solo finger.

“Oh, excuse me. An Idiot Prince,” the Chiss corrected himself

“Zig… I’m gonna burn that fracker alive if he keeps that shit up!”

“I, of course, am the smooth, natural one! The best friend.” Zig made a polite bow. She glanced at Anselm. “Now now Anselm, Master Tabriss has been so gracious with helping set all of this up!”

Wyn smirked as he observed.

“Do forgive me, Prince. I was merely imitating one of the most intelligent people I know and went overboard. I apologize.” Tabriss said in a conciliatory tone.

Tabriss cleared his throat before turning to Zig. “I have prepared a collection of tea and snacks for the event. Perhaps you and the others would like to sample them before things get underway?”

Deciding to play the hell out of his role, Anselm brought a regal smile to his.face as he approached Zig. He bowed gracefully.

“Milady, Zig. I shall prove myself suitable to your guests. Never before will a lady have been as fondly welcomed and cared for as within this court.”

“Yes exactly! That’s perfect,” Zig nodded excitedly. “If I were straight I’d totally be swooning!”

She patted his arm.

“I think all that’s left is for people to start arriving.”

Anslem walked past Tabriss, first giving the Chiss a shit eating grin that says “im better than you” then, shaking his hair, whipping the long ponytail into the Chiss’s face.

Tabriss merely raised an eyebrow at the Prince’s grin. As Anselm whipped his hair, the Chiss brought his hand up to protect his face. His fingers tightened slightly, just enough to make it clear that he could have grabbed Anselm’s hair and yanked him back if he wanted, but had chosen not to. His expression remained unchanged, red eyes regarding Anselm steadily and without a hint of emotion though his wire-rimmed glasses.

Anselm stared back at Tabriss and simply winked at the man before walking away.

“Hot,” Zig whispered to Wyn, who nodded in agreement.

The twins, who were usually the pilots for the Voidbreaker II just exchanged a glance, smiled, and took up their position. Zig had honestly thought she’d need to convince them harder, but they had agreed to this whole thing fairly quickly!

Welcome to the Voidbreaker Host Club

Enter through the Voidbreaker and take the lift to the Observatory. There, you will be greeted by your Host and shown to a table!

Choose your host(s)!

The landing ramp was ready and waiting. Instructions had been shared for all guests with clearance. Wyn, Anselm, Tabriss, Zig, and the twins stood ready among a series of different tables and cushioned chairs in the conservatory with its rich greenery and simulated sunlight. A change of pace from the Shadowport or Space.

The Voidbreaker II was prepared, at least as best as it could.

What better way to get reacquainted with Arcona than by means of a club?

It was unorthodox perhaps, but change was in order. The last few times she returned to Brotherhood space was when it was all but on fire. Her assets in Taldryan were no longer significant and could thus be discarded. This invitation appeared almost personal with its timing.

“So be it then, I can hardly believe the second Voidbreaker is still around. This could be amusing,” the Sith muttered to herself as she twirled the Shard of the Voidbreaker around her long-nailed fingers.

Aphotis had stowed away her helmet, simply letting accessories and her alchemical skin construct the aesthetics. The tailed woman wore a long black dress with opera gloves, similar to a ball quite some time ago. Her heels were almost hidden under the shiny latex garment, and while she loved the sound of them click, clacking, she used her repulsor belt to eerily hover over the ramp, leading her inside.

Her eyelids twitches, wanting to widen, but she forced herself into a squint instead when she saw them waiting. A wicked smile formed on her lush black lips.

“Oh great, our first guest!” Zig said excitedly.

The hosts were ready, talking idly and standing at the waiting for the first arrivals. Zig was ready. Or so she thought.

Zig glanced down at her wrist-comm and started walking towards the figure that had entered. She felt a shadow come over her and a looming presence that suddenly was aware to her. Ever since returning from the Ethereal Realm, Zig had “tingles” similar to what Wyn and the other Force users talked about, but it was never more than an extended intuition if anything.

The shadow, the sense, her datapads information, all that information hit her at the same moment that Zig tipped her head up and saw electric, familiar blue eyes and impossibly pale features.

“A-a-Aphotis…h-hello!” Zig stammered, fumbling with her wrist-comm even though it was physically attached to her wrist under her suit jacket arm. “I uh, w-welcome! To the Voidbreaker H-host club. I didn’t realize you’d be, uh, attending, and were back in Dajorra space…and uh.”

She swallowed and composed herself slowly. “I mean, hello and welcome! Why don’t you come in and meet the rest of our hosts!” She almost reached out to take Alaisy’s hand, then seemed to think better of it and slid her own hands behind her back and padded back towards the tables and chairs set up, throwing a glance back over her shoulder and flashing a smile towards the towering Sith.

And as Zig’s hand moved closer, the tail had almost lashed out.

“Oh, what a surprise to see you again Zigrah'sahe Kaliska,” the Sith said it with expertise as if she had lived on Zygeria her entire life and learned their ways, but it was just Zig that she knew.

Her clawed hands were steepled in formality, but her tail flicked in mischief.

Unblinking electric-blue surrounded by the void itself stayed honed in on the Scavenger’s golden eyes. The memories flooded back in as she opened the lid on a chapter that seemed much longer ago than it really was. As if the priorities of each label in a library shifted and the events that happened on the Voidbreaker and Voidbreaker II were placed at the top. She was reading this part of her life page by page, and it showed as solar flares bursting from her iris, flickering like a blue candle.

Why is she stuttering?

The fumbling was like a delicate meal of fear placed on the Sith’s tongue. It melted and dissipated like a chocolate flake as the Zygerrian restored her calm.

Aphotis raised her hand and her tail stood upright.

“I am here for you, you guide me, bring me tea, perhaps?” the tone of her voice was low-pitched and sultry, before it swapped to a high pitch with a hit of vocal fry. That last bit, it was a hint of disdain coupled with an uneasy smile.

Watching from the service area, Tabriss raised his eyebrows at the first guest and Zig’s reaction to her. The woman had changed significantly since he had last seen her. Still, a guest was a guest. He drew from his near encyclopedic knowledge of tastes and preferences, and began to mix a blend that would be suitable to her tastes.

“It seems Zig has snagged our first guest for herself. I must say, quite selfish of her dont you think?”

Anselm approached Tabriss from the side combing his fingers through his hair, causing it to wave really as his smirk raced across his face. He knew that he has ru stay on character, lest the captain claim he wasnt giving his full effort.

“I am not sure that is a bad thing,” Tabriss murmured as he poured the hot water and began to let it steep. “Likely there is be many others.”

“A damsel, or more, for every gentleman to adore.”

Nervously, Ellisyn brushed some of the wrinkles out of her slacks with her hands. The very concept of the gathering she had been invited to was something the woman had never heard of. Thankfully her curiosity got the better of her and pushed her to show up. That and the potential break that could come from someone else getting her something for once. She didn’t see her kids as much as she wanted, but when she did, it felt like she never got a break.

The button down she wore was plain white with the top few buttons undone. She forwent any sort of vest or jacket, trying not to show up overdressed but wanting to still look professional for a ‘club’.

Elly made her way up the ramp, finishing off one last square breath at the top of the ramp. Mossy orbs scanned over the environment and the people stood inside it. She recognized only one. Aphostis. Her chest tightened and her fists clenched, but she couldn’t allow herself to make a scene. Not now.

Aphotis’ tail flicked in amusement as her instinct caught on to the primal physical reaction of the person behind her. The alchemist wanted to see the results of that near-death experience she had caused. Nothing is more interesting than coming back from the brink of death, it means one is worthy of life. It would need further trialing of course, set in different environments, catalogued and reproduced with enough numbers to make the statistics worth a damn.

But then her tail lowered, she resisted the morbid curiosity.

“Poetry from the Prince? I am glad to see you getting into character,” Tabriss said as he continued to prepare custom tea blends. He set the tea for Aphotis and a selection of snacks onto a tray and looked meaningfully to Zig, signaling it was ready if she wanted to make use of it.

Seeing Ellisyn hesitating at the entrance, he emerged from the service area and made an approach. “Welcome, my lady. Have you come for tea?”

It took a moment for the Firrerreo to respond, her eyes fixated on a trauma she had shoved deep down. Tabriss’ voice pulled Ellisyn from the depths of her mind and into the present. She turned to face the host and softly sighed.

“Anything with caffeine,” she replied, craving the alertness it granted her.

“Tea, of course!” Zig said, seeming to get over her initial shock at her ex-but-first Girlfriend showing up. She was even on the roster, too, so the whiplash was very real. Fortunately, she was able to retreat into logic and intellect like a fortification, and calmed back into the role she was playing.

“Please enjoy this fresh cup. Would you be interested in any of our hosts in particular?” Zig asked, gesturing towards Tabriss, Anselm, the twins, and Wyn.

Wyn, at some point, had managed to find a chair to lounge in, feet up and kicking as if there was no respect for the situation, like a true Brat. He glanced over at Alaisy like a lazy Loth cat and waved.

She smiled as Anselm seemed to move all princely-like towards Elly. She offered a quick wave at the redheaded lawyer.

“Of course,” Tabriss said, guiding her in and getting her set up in a plush armchair. “And which of our hosts would you like to converse with today? Do you have a preference?”

Ellisyn followed, keeping her focus on the here and now. With a sigh, she took a seat in the armchair and partially melted into the cushions. Why did furniture have to be so expensive?

“I’ve never been to a host club before so I don’t really know. Any suggestions?”

“It very much depends on your preference. Each of us have different personalities to entertain you as you enjoy your refreshments. Miss Zig is pleasant and friendly. Wyn is the Brat, with mischievous and lighthearted joking.” He nodded toward the man who was lounging nearby. He then gestured toward the twin pilots. “Sym and Nym work together, lacishing double the affection on their guests.” He then gestured toward Anselm. “Anselm is our resident Prince. He is gallant and chivalrous, and has even been trying his hand at poetry. Of course, if you prefer intellectually stimulating conversation, I would be happy to serve you.”

Wyn made himself more comfortable on the plush chair, kicking his feet and grinning impishly.

“Why thank you, Kaliska.”

The Sith sat down and took hold of the cup.

“Do not worry Zig, I can feel you, you know. I do wonder what life has brought you since last we spoke.”

Aphotis returned Wyn’s wave by extending each of her long-nailed fingers one at a time in a smooth wave back. Almost as if she reeled him in.

Wyn, despite his usual nature to play along, was fully immersed in his role. You never went full brat, but method acting was important to his craft. So, despite all sensible logic, he looked at the beckoning claws, then looked at Aphotis, then pointed looked away, pretending to be uninterested and reticent. He even let out a little puff of air.

Zig pinched the bridge of her nose. “A lot has happened. I think we finally put down the Collective, but I’m sure there will be some lingering affects of that campaign. Just happy to be back in Dajorra dealing with our usual things. Oh, you missed a Zillo beast attack.” Zig explained.

Good boy.

The glowing electric-blue eyes returned towards the Zygerrian’s gesture.

“About time the Collective gave up, it was never much fun tearing through machine and crystal. Now how did you stave off a Zillo beast of all things? That sounds fascinating, please tell me it was not killed but captured.”

Zig sighed. “Archian of course wanted to keep it alive. I’m not sure about the one that attacked Blindshot…but ours…we kind of jettisoned it out into space after everyone piled on attacks on it. So, it’s dead and floating in space somewhere…”

The Sith inclined her head, both in respect of the monster that had unjustly died alone, and that for experiments sake this beast was unlikely to be useful.

“I understand, leaving it alive would have jeopardized far too many living souls,” the sarcasm in her voice seeped out.

“This Archian, I might have to pick their mind one day. What could have released a Zillo beast regardless? Let alone twice at the same time? Such wild stories already.”

“That is an excellent question Miss Aphotis,” Zig said. “One unfortunately above this ones pay grade.

“Then what agrees with your paygrade, Hostess Zig?”

The tall woman quaffed down her tea with an elegant flick of her wrist. She eyed the rest of the room, her tail in tandem with her mood, in search of some entertainment, or mischief.

“Serving tea to old friends you’re excited to see?” she replied coyly. “Mostly just annoying Mune and vice-captaining the ship. I’ve been a bit stretched providing infrastructure upgrades and better security protocols for the Envoy Corps and for Arcona across the board. Which…still have to deal with people using insecure authentication methods…”

“Mhm… I see, why do you not pour me another one then?”

The followup about authentication systems did not do much to interest the Sith woman, but the alluding towards technical skills reminded her of something.

“I am glad you still have a role as Vice-Captain, Zig. I have just recently relieved Zag from her duties as Captain of the Osasdii’s Scythe, she has her freedom and her responsibilities now.”

Zig giggled slightly. “That…could be both a blessing and a curse, knowing her. She knows she’s always welcome to crash here whenever she needs.”

Elly mulled over her options. The descriptions were certainly helpful but there was something about picking someone to talk to that was almost daunting. “I guess the chivalrous one?” She said, uncertainty in her tone.

“An excellent choice,” Tabriss replied with a pleasant smile. He inclined his head. “I shall inform the Prince, and he shall be by shortly with your tea.” He gave a small bow, covering his heart with his hand, before turning away.

He approached the place where Anselm was lounging and likely fixing his hair. “Ah, Prince. The lady requests your presence.” He gestured toward Elly

“Zag can figure that out by herself, although I think some time aboard the Voidbreaker will do her good, just keep in mind how clingy she gets with ships and that she is lucky to still have hands at all.”

Aphotis leaned her head on her hand while the other hand began to draw invisible shapes in the air, as if casting a spell of sorts.

“Cantrips?” Zig asked with a bit of a smirk, watching her clawed fingers move through the air. She blinked once. “It’s okay, I can keep her honest. We do worse than remove hands if you mess with our ship, and space is cold and empty I heard…”

Zig let out a short cackle that was more cartoonish than actual Machiavellian.

The Sith raised an eyebrow and then squinted at Zig.

“Do not threaten Zag with such a good time, you know how she gets. She will slink back into whatever crevice she can find and good fortune to you pulling her out again. Be a good girl and just keep her out of the bridge.”

Amethyst smoke appeared in Aphotis’s palm, swirling and then dissipated, revealing a teal-colored herb. Two clawed fingers pinched it and wiggled the dust off.

“Mhm, I was not sure if my old laboratory remained untouched. I will be reclaiming that room. Very intelligent of the crew not to touch my things there. Although I can see it has been repainted, tssk.”

Sildrin entered the conservatory. She didn’t know what to expect - she had gotten an invitation to a Host Club. A sigh escaped her lips. Social interactions. She braced herself; the fire within her would give her strength. Lucky for her she had already made plans. The twins - pilots: Nym and Sym. At such an event they’d be a welcome distraction.

The white gauze cloak trailed her as she walked towards the area where she had sensed the twins. She had her long hair draped over one arm and she wore a white shiny unitard with blue lines accenting the curves of her body.

Nym and Sym looked up, seeing her approach. Sildrin reached out her hands and grabbed a hand of each twin. “You both look wonderful. I had only seen you in your pilot suits.” “Oh my lady”, Sym pulled Sildrin closer, “I hope you are feeling better.” Nym placed Sildrin on the couch between him and Sym: “You scared us when you fainted. Do you feel better?” “Yes. But I still feel a bit weak.” Sildrin placed a hand at her temple. “Would you mind me if I rested my head again on your lap, Sym?” “Of course not!” Sym’s lips curled into an amused smile. “I am sure Nym would be very willing to feed you with some of the delicious candied fruits. A specialty from Selen.”

Tabriss watched the scenery unfold and slowly shook his head. He pushed his glasses further up his nose.

“Yeah….definitely intelligent of them not to go near it.” Zig said carefully. She had a disturbing memory of the cleaning droid that had dared to enter. All that was left when it rolled back into the corridor were bolts and fragments beyond even what Zig could have repaired. “It should be great for your resumed occupancy of course!”

Zig hid a giggle behind her hand as she watched the twins. They really had been open minded to this whole thing, which made Zig wonder. She probably needed to probe more into their backgrounds. Discretely. With alcohol, most likely…

Wyn continued to look away, feigning indifference to the going-ons.

The black-clad witch peered towards the new arrival. The alabaster appearance forced her electric-blue eyes to readjust. The sensual entrance reminded her that it required active effort to keep things fun. A smile formed on her shiny black lips.

“Zig, who are you with nowadays?”

Zig spit her tea off to the side.

“W-w-with?!” She stammered, any hint of character acting disappearing. “I um, well, still with Zuza but well, you see it’s complicated. I have uh…three girlfriends now? It was one…then two and then three just kind of happened.”

She wiped her mouth with a napkin and then poked her fingers together while looking anywhere but at Aphotis.

Aphotis’ smile grew wider.

“I do believe I know what this means, why limit yourself to just one, right? We never put restrictions on ourselves, after all.”

“Well, come on, tell me, or better yet, show me, Zig,” her voice lowered in pitch dramatically.

Zig thought for a moment. Instead of the bashful shyness she went very pensive. Almost still, like a cornered animal deciding its best vector of escape from a predator. She was still not okay with people trying to get into her mind. Mune had been kind enough to work with her on different ways to shield herself from intrusion. To let her logic loop on overdrive to create a static feedback of sorts.

She thought of P.H.I.L. How, under the affects of mind control, she had killed the HK droid beyond repair. Aphostis was not sentimental, and had never blamed her, but Zig still blamed herself. Afterall, her biggest weakness had always been that she simply cared about everyone.

After a few more moments she met Aphotis eyes. Stared into them not with longing or affection as she might have when younger, but with steeled determination and bit of trust. She was proud of who and what she was, and had nothing to hide from the Sith.

She inclined her head forward a bit, willing to let her look for herself.

Sildrin opened her mouth to accept the candy offered by Nym. She nibbled on it playfully before taking it into her mouth. “Those are truly delicious and sweet - just like both of you.” The twins gasped and chuckled.

The blind woman’s senses wandered across the room, then focused on this one specific being. Drinking in this tall woman’s essence and appearance. Her thoughts brushed lightly against Aphotis’s mind: magnificent.

Zig’s sudden distance and steely gaze was a bit surprising to the Sith woman.

“Uhm, why are you suddenly moving forward. You are puzzling me, Zig. Are you okay?”

Another thought raced through her mind, something new, like an icicle, cold and white. Yet it felt like a compliment.

Magnificent?

Aphotis peered around and stopped as she saw tipped ears.

The silver-haired woman?

Sildrin sensed Aphotis’s seeking eyes and she turned her head into the direction of the tall Sith. Idly she let her fingers slowly curl around one of Nym’s hair strands.

How deep can your fingernails pierce a body? Up to the heart? Sildrin couldn’t hold back her curiosity.

The tickling in the back of her mind was a bit unsettling, her eyelid twitched, and stopped once she began to understand the hidden message.

If it was meant to grab her attention, well, it worked.

Aphotis’ gaze focused on the Sephi-like creature.

“Sorry Zig, someone is in my head right now, with pleasant thoughts. One moment.”

Her clawed hand rose up and with a puff of smoke produced a piece of fruit from one of the nearby rooms. A nail pierced it with little effort, the finger folded and pulled out the seeds without any flesh attached.

With a wet thud the fruit was tossed on the ground and she flung the core to toward the silver-haired lady using the Force.

Zig blinked, and then slowly glanced towards Sildrin. She hadn’t met the other new member that had rejoined them, but then glanced back and forth between the silver haired woman and Aphotis. She took a sip of what was left of her tea.

Tabriss returned to his sanctuary behind the counter, observing the events carefully from behind his wire-rimmed glasses. He was not attuned to the Force the way others were, bur it did not take a Force user to see that there was something going on between Sildrin and Aphotis. Still, so long as their antics did not spoil the event, he had no reason to intervene. He busied himself by artfully stacking teacups and snacks onto a tray, in preparation for the next guest.

Wyn noticed that Anselm seemed occupied, so with an impish grin he kicked himself up to his feet, slid his hands into his pockets and sauntered over to pass Tabriss and plop down into the chair across from Elly.

“Sorry, looks like the Prince is busy, so you’ll have to settle for me. I guess,” he said, pretending to be aloof but entitled at the same time. “Did you want to share any of the tea with me?”

Ellisyn was nothing if not impatient. Thankfully she was mostly there for the tea, not so much the company. But when she was finally joined by Wyn, the supposed brat, she smiled.

“Help yourself,” she said, gesturing to the kettle next to her. “And it’s not settling. Not if you prove to be good company, at least.”

“Please, I am the best company anyone could ever ask for,” Wyn replied dismissively, looking at his well manicured nails. Then he took some tea for himself, and intentionally did not ask to refill hers. “Lovely weather, isn’t it? Wild that it’s artificial,” the Brat commented.

Butler senses tingled and Tabriss turned to see Wyn not refill Ellisyn’s teacup. He grit his teeth as he turned away, muttering under his breath. “He is playing a role… he is just playing a role….”

Elly rose a single brow. “Is that so?” The Firrerreo took note that her cup was running low but assumed as much given the man’s title. Was she supposed to tell him to do it? She had no clue. “There’s a bit of a draft but other than that you keep it at a good temperature. Is this what counts as fun around here?”

“It feels like it,” Wyn groaned dramatically. “Almost makes you miss the murder Crystal monsters, Shadow beasts, and killer cyborgs, you know?”

.

“Almost,” Elly said, definitely not missing the crystal monsters. Memories of her city burning flashed by. Much like the scar on her back, the screams that haunted her were a reminder that she needed to be better. But now wasn’t the time for flashbacks and sadness, she was there to relax.

“I like the suit. Suddenly I feel underdressed.”

“Oh darling, you’re dressed perfectly. It’s not anyone else’s fault they can’t be as fresh as my stylings,” Wyn winked, still playing the role. He paused for a moment and then his face seemed to shift and morph.

“Oh.” he said seriously. “Right. Zig, Tabriss? This was a lot of fun, but I have a feeling the Voidbreaker is going to be needed for action.”
