S.T.A.R. Research Base Exterior Quarantine Zone Planet Arx

Innovation may be the end of sentient life as we know it. The difficult and ongoing conflict against The Collective and Children of Mortis had driven the Dark Jedi Brotherhood to new heights of power. Stolen equipment was reverse engineered and employed among their troops. Was it any surprise that the research would seek to create technology of their own?

Such an endeavor had gone terribly awry. Deep within the oceans of planet Arx was an underwater research facility. A building used for the research and development of Brotherhood cybernetic soldiers and a new Artificial Intelligence to wield against their foes. A Collective strike team had infiltrated the facility and partially corrupted the A.I. Now the facility was compromised; the cyborg soldiers controlled and puppeteered by the Intelligence they were meant to guard.

A Brotherhood strike team was formed to infiltrate the facility, assess the threat, and destroy or cleanse the A.I. of corruption. This team consisted of the Thisspiassian Hector Von Ricmore, and the humans Jim Nova, Haro Zylrun, and Honsou Kessen. The squad had arrived at the exterior of the underwater base, a quarantine checkpoint set up on a building constructed upon the surface of the water. Upon showing the proper credentials, the team was ushered into a massive elevator. A pre set code was entered and then the doors closed, leaving the group with no one but themselves for company.

The undersea elevator descended into the fathoms below. The group stood largely in silence, broken by the occansional clicks and clatters of metal and weaponry being loaded or checked. Before long, the elevator ceased moving. The doors opened with the sound of a small chime.

In front of the group was another checkpoint. Several walkways featured scanning devices while visible cameras turned towards the group from the corners of the room. No living sentient could be seen, yet they were not alone.
